There were things about this story that I didn't like. One MC (Basil) came across as "vulgar" at times, but his heart was in the right place. His over the top personality went right with his take charge super revved sexuality. A couple times I skimmed over the sex scenes, but I did enjoy his dialogue with the other MC even when they were getting frisky. He was proud of who he was and wasn't ashamed to have others notice him. As a matter of fact he dressed and acted in a manner guaranteed to attract attention. I can visualize him tapping his way down aisles and when ever he impatiently had to wait. His happiness was contagious. He was good at what he did so his business partners trusted his judgment even when it seemed off the wall.

Talk about opposites attracting. This was definitely the case with Basil and quiet shy scared Edward. Easily intimidated he is in awe of his super confident new boss. He can't understand why someone that cool would want to get to know boring him better. He's twenty-five years old, until recently unemployed, who still lives with his parents and has spent most of his life avoiding or running away from being bullied. The rest of the book is how Basil helps Edward and how Edward helps himself.

I enjoyed this book watching the way Edward grew. You only get briefly introduced to the remaining three partners in the newly opened Paint Store. They don't seem to have sparkling personalities like Basil so it remains to be seen how the author develops them. Particularly looking forward to big Max's story.
